The TW Steel Canteen Gents’ Watch features Quartz movement. Quartz is a crystalline mineral which is present in the earth’s crust and is the main component of sand. Quartz is often used in watches to keep excellent time. A paper thin piece of synthetic quartz is used in the TW Steel Canteen. It vibrates very fast in response to an electrical charge. The vibrations which are caused allow the watch to keep time. Watches which use Quartz to keep time like this one are much better than a mechanical watch. They are much more accurate and usually do not gain more than 2 minutes a year, meaning you will always keep excellent time. Quartz watches like this one also do not need to be wound so you can always be confident that you know the correct time.
